Despite vast differences across cultures in understanding birthing folks’ mental health, significant findings across different cultures suggest that disordered eating during pregnancy and postpartum is prevalent across the globe. These major medical experiences are challenging times of rapid change for birthing people which can negatively impact body image and relationship to food. This webinar is open to the public, though intended primarily for those pregnant or in the postpartum period.

About the speaker: Raquel Griffin MSW RSW (she/her)
Raquel lives in Kjipuktuk (Halifax, Nova Scotia) and is Registered Social Worker, Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor, and co-founding member of The Aleo Collective. In her private practice, Birch Stand Mental Health Services, Raquel specializes in therapy for disordered eating, queer & trans support, and grief.
